Buddhism has long been considered an inspirational philosophythat promotes inner harmony not only with an individualsneighbor but also within ourselves. Additionally Buddhism doesnot hold the same social dogmas that the other main religions inthe world do as well as promoting unity both externally andinternally (Haggen 1998). One of the larger philosophies ofBuddhism is religious tolerance which accepts all religions thatpromote peace and unity within their constituents. Currently thereare over three and a half billion individuals who practice Buddhismin some way or another (Powers 2007). This research paper willanalyze the philosophy of Buddhism in addition to reviewing alocal place of worship.
