Consider a point-to-point radio link between two highly directional
antennas in a stationary environment. The antennas have antenna gains of 30 dB
distance attenuation is 150 dB and the receiver has a noise figure of 7 dB.
The symbol rate is 20 Msymb/s and Nyquist signaling is used. It can be assume
that the radio link can be treated as an AWGN channel without fading. How much
transmit power is required (disregarding power losses at transmitter and
receiver ends) for a maximum BER of 10-5 when using: a) Coherently detected BPSK b) Coherently detected FSK c) Differentially detected
BPSK d) Non-Coherently detected FSK Report GuidelinesThe report of the project should contain to standard practices for
technical reports. It should fully document the project i.e. _ explain what was done _ why it was done _ what the results were _ discuss the results The report should be sending in electronic format with
the cover sheet as the first page. The cover sheet should also contain a time
report documenting the number of hours spent on completing the project. The
time report will not affect the grading at all. It is only the quality of the
Project that matters not how many or how few hours spent. The purpose of the
time report is to measure the work load for future adjustments of the project.
