Developing a PASW Table
Open the Main Dataset file on the Resources page and IMPORT (easier) the data into PASW making sure to only import the range from A1 to J19 on the Excel worksheet
Save the file to your computer under a unique name
Open the file and ensure all data are included on the PASW file. Eliminate extraneous variables usually in the column headers as V11 V12 etc.
Convert all decimal data to have a fixed length of three decimal points
Expand fields as necessary to ensure the names of the variables (top row) can be seen
Using the Analyze > Descriptive Statistics > Descriptive command select all data and move them Variables(s) section.
Click Options and make sure that Mean Std Deviation Variance Range Minimum Maximum S.E. Mean and Variable List are checked
Click Continue and then OK
Copy and Paste the table (Descriptive Statistics) to a Microsoft Word document and manually manipulate it to conform to APA 6th edition requirements.
Open the Week1Notes.xls and study the notes explaining the columns in the table
