French perfume producer LOral has mounted a legal challenge to eBay for sales of fake products using its brand. LOral argues that by failing to police fake products eBay is in fact acting in concert with the sellers of those goods. Of course eBay denies the claim saying that it is simply providing a trading platform and that the responsibility for looking after LOrals trademarks should rest with LOral.
