Poverty and the Children of AmericaThe United States it is one of the largest and wealthiestnations in the world. There are over 307 million people with theaverage annual income of $50000 (CIA 2010) yet despite the gloryof this industrious nation there is a growing epidemic- risingpoverty levels and the effects of it on our children. Poverty is byno means just affecting the United States; it is more of apandemic. However the United States needs to increase theirefforts to ward off poverty among their citizens and focus on thechildren.
