Project Idea:
Our project idea is to design a simple and portable tank that includes a filtration system to clean the gray water generated from kitchens bathrooms sink and laundries to reuse it in other activities. The product is designed to reduce the amount of water consumed by half of the regular amount and reuse it again with insuring its cleanliness and the guarantee to use it safely. The recycled water can be used in irrigation cleaning washing machine and car washing. This means for every 20 gallons of water consumed in the kitchen we can reduce this amount that is used in other activities. The size of tank is designed for the global average consumption of water in the kitchen bathroom sink and laundry.
It is a squared shape with a hole on the top connected to the sink by a removable pipe. There is an index as well. In addition it comes with a hose a manual pump that can be attached to the tank whenever you want to use the water and a filtration system that is connected to the pump the same filtration system as Michael Pritchard invention (Lifesaver Jerrycans in Haiti 2009). This product is one of a kind that can be installed in more than one place it can be dragged instead of carried and before removing it from the pipe you should lock the water. An interesting feature is the hydrometer that is built in. The best thing about the product it is manually used so it does not need energy. Therefore it is affordable and easy to use.
