This is a writing and research assignment. Your assignment is to research what civilization means and what are the keys or certain developments that define a culture as a civilization. You can find this information in the textbook online and from the mini-lecture.At that point you should take this information and write a well developed essay considering these keys of civilization and how they apply to Mesopotamia. In other words exactly what things happened in Mesopotamia that changed it from a culture to a civilization. Focus on four things in writing an essay. 1. Thesis-the point you are trying to prove. 2. Content-this is the historical information that you should use to back up your thesis. 3.
