This manuscript will discuss the effect of a merger/acquisitionupon a fictitious non-secular health care organization.Timeframe of this examination is six months following theacquisition. Prior to the merger/acquisition employees viewed thecompetitor as an inferior organization. The competitororganization offers services not currently offered by theorganization in which the observing middle manager works. Thenew administration initiated significant reductions in theworkforce proposed redesign of the patient delivery system alongwith the concept of the universal worker which has history offailure.
