Your paper should demonstrate solid understanding of the material as presented in the course lectures and readings (of course you are always welcome to bring in some critical analysis of your own as long as it is philosophical in nature and supported by REASONS). The bulk of your paper should consist in an explanation of the topic under discussion in your own words. In writing your paper be sure to address the topic weve discussed in the lectures. For example if writing on euthanasia you must discuss the specific PHILOSOPHICAL issues raised in class readings and lectures. In other words Im not interested in hearing about what newspaper columnists and radio talk show hosts etc. have to say about euthanasia. Rather I am looking for a discussion of Rachels and Steinbocks ideas which demonstrates that you understand the philosophical issues. Have fun!
