Tell the participants that getting to know the other members of the team is the key to building understanding and trust. Explain that this activity offers team members such a learning opportunity. Hand out pens and paper to the participants.Explain the activity. Tell the participants that they will each present four short stories about themselves. Note that the stories can be about anything: childhood pets sports hobbies funny situations travels unusual experiences or other personal stories. Explain that three of the stories must be true but one of the four stories must be entirely fabricated. Tell the participants to use the pen and paper you handed out to make some quick notes about the stories they will tell. Emphasize that writing out the entire story is not necessary. Encourage them to be creative. Allow 10 minutes for the preparation of the stories.
